Rekha Rangachari serves as the Executive Director of the New York International Arbitration Center (NYIAC) since 2017. In her role at NYIAC, Rekha collaborates with stakeholders and thought leaders in the space to advance global scholarship and best practices; offers educational programming, events, and trainings; and operates world-class hearing facilities in Manhattan. Rekha is actively engaged with the arbitration community. Rekha serves as Member of the New York City Bar’s Inter-American Affairs Committee, Member of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) International Section’s Executive Committee and Co-Chair of its International Contracts and Commercial Law Committee, and Interlocuter for Resolutions, the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Dispute Resolution Podcast Series. Ms. Lu Fei is the Director of Business Development Division of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), responsible for development initiatives and international cooperation of the organization. She joined CIETAC in 2003, and has administered or supervised the administration of over a thousand cases, both domestic and international. She also scrutinizes CIETAC arbitral awards regularly. Ms. Lu has been an arbitrator since 2014 and has arbitrated sale of goods, joint venture, construction, and financial disputes, etc. She is a member of the editorial committee of Arbitration and Law, the earliest professional law review on arbitration in Chinses mainland and frequently speaks at international seminars on dispute resolution. Jennifer Haworth McCandless is an international disputes partner at Baker Botts in Washington, D.C. with nearly 25 years’ experience serving as legal counsel in complex, high-stakes international arbitration cases, focusing, in particular, on investor-state arbitration. She has successfully represented both private sector investors (claimants) and sovereigns (respondents) in international arbitral proceedings conducted in English and Spanish before ICSID and its Additional Facility, the ICC, the PCA, and other arbitral institutions around the world. She has also handled international commercial arbitrations, often involving state or state-owned entities.
Her cases span the full range of economic sectors, including electricity, mining, oil and gas, infrastructure, real estate development, and financial services, and cover the globe, with a particular emphasis on the Americas. Notable successes include representing clients in various investor-state arbitrations with a total of US $59 billion in claims. She has also advised and represented private parties and governments in WTO disputes.

Sarah Ganz is a Special Counsel at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP in London. She specializes in complex international disputes. Dual-qualified in Germany and England & Wales, Sarah has represented clients in arbitrations involving a wide variety of procedural and substantive laws of both civil law and common law jurisdictions. She has acted as counsel in institutional and ad hoc arbitrations. Her experience spans a range of sectors, including life sciences, energy, telecommunications, private equity, technology, and oil and gas. Ismail Selim is director of the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), President of the International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions (IFCAI), Chair of the Egypt Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and Vice-President of the African Arbitration Association (AfAA).
In 2009, Dr. Selim earned his PhD with highest honors from Université de Bourgogne and in 2001, he obtained his masters in Public Administration from ENA.
He began his legal career as a prosecutor and judge (1998-2009) before joining private practice as partner in reputable law firms (2009 -2016).

Professor Dr. Stefan Kröll is Professor for International Dispute Resolution at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and one of the directors of the Willem C. Vis Arbitration Moot Court. He is the Chairman of the German Arbitration Institute and member of the advisory boards of several other arbitration related institutions and national and international journals. Stefan has acted as arbitrator or emergency arbitrator in more than 100 cases in all areas of national and international business law including the involvement of state parties. He is regularly listed as one of the leading arbitrators in Germany (Band 1: Most in Demand Arbitrators) and his publications include several internationally renowned monographs, treatises and commentaries.
Leonardo Florencio specializes in valuation and assessment of damages. He has been involved in numerous Brazilian and international economic valuation engagements in the context of arbitration and litigation. He is also experienced in valuation for M&A, investment decisions and accounting purposes.Mr. Florencio regularly works as expert witness in large-scale disputes involving Latin American parties, mainly in the field of valuation and damages. Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Florencio was a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he worked for 7 years performing valuation assignments and M&A transactions. Guilherme Carneiro Monteiro Nitschke is a partner of the Arbitration Practice Group at TozziniFreire Advogados, having domestic and international experience in commercial arbitrations and investment treaty cases before several different institutions, acting as counsel, arbitrator and expert witness. He is the Vice-President of the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr), member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, member of the Special Commission for the Study of the Draft Reform of the Brazilian Civil Code (IASP) and former Executive Secretary of the ICC Brasil Arbitration and ADR Commission. Guilherme also holds a PhD in Civil Law from the University of São Paulo, with his thesis being awarded as the Best Civil Law Thesis of the University in 2018, and a master’s degree from the University of Rio Grande do Sul. Mr. Pereira is Director of ANAC (Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency), also occupying the position of Acting President-Director. Before joining the board of Directors, also at ANAC, he was responsible for several Departments at the Agency, being distinguished by the conduction of the Airport concessions and for the definition of the Anac’s governance model, that awards the Agency for good governance practices. Mr. Pereira also worked for the Central Bank of Brazil and the Ministry of Planning, Development and Management. He is a career civil servant as a Governmental Executive, of Ministry of Management and Public Services Innovation, and Professor of Economics and Regulation at Brazilian Institute of Development, Teaching and Research (IDP). Mr. Pereira is PhD in Economics at Brasília University.
Rupert Choat KC has specialised in construction, energy and similar disputes as well as arbitration since 1997. Choat, has worked on disputes over projects in 60+ jurisdictions, inc. Brazil and sits as an arbitrator. He has sat in i.a. ICC, LCIA, DIAC and SCC arbitrations. Edna Sussman is a full-time independent arbitrator and mediator and is the Distinguished ADR Practitioner in Residence at Fordham University School of Law. Ms. Sussman has served as the chair, sole and co-arbitrator in over 300 complex commercial disputes and over 200 complex commercial mediations, both international and domestic, under various institutional rules and ad hoc involving contract interpretation, commercial transactions, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, mergers/acquisitions, intellectual property, energy, financing and banking transactions, franchises/distributorships, insurance, telecommunications, partnership and joint venture, accounting, environment, securities, aviation and professional liability.
Ms. Sussman is a member of the panel of many of the leading dispute resolution institutions around the world including CAM-CCBC’s panel. Ms. Sussman is the former Chair of the New York International Arbitration Center and sat for many years on the Board of the American Arbitration Association. She is the founding chair and director of the AAA-ICDR Foundation and is a past President of the College of Commercial Arbitrators. Ms. Sussman is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and certified by the International Mediation Institute.
